A GERMAN PARCEL-GILT CUP FORMED AS A MODEL OF A DROMEDARY
MAKER'S MARK PROBABLY OF JOHANNES I MAYR, AUGSBURG, CIRCA 1660
The dromedary walking with his rider formed as a detachable figure of a mamluk holding a spear, the mamluk's body with central division to form a drinking cup, the base chased with rockwork, tree stump and applied with gilt flowers, all on a probably later silver-mounted octagonal ebony casket applied with fruit and foliage festoons resting on eight silvered ball feet with scroll brackets above, marked on the dromedary and the mamluk
