    The first depicting a farmer falling asleep with his face upside down on a large banana-leaf; the second a study of a coiled snake, the reptile's sinuous body tightly coiled in irregular loops with its head resting on the top, the eyes inlaid; the third a study of a whale, the eyes inlaid with two metals, signed Jugyoku; the fourth depicting a frog sitting on a long folded lotus leaf observing a small spider
