This wristwatch was made for military aviators and bears interesting design details. The large size and black dial with luminous numerals and hands makes the watch very easy to use in day or night conditions. Also, the non-reflective brushed finish to the case helps to soften the reflections of light off the case.
This watch was originally sold at auction as property from the Mel Blanc collection, Christie's 29 October 1997, sale 8762, lot 237.
