With highly engraved skeletonised gilt lever movement, 76 jewels, three armed one minute tourbillon with mono-metallic balance, repeating on two hammers, the midnight blue dial with Roman numerals, silvered feuille hands, four engine-turned dials indicating constant seconds with day, 30 minute register combined with phases of the moon, date, 12 hour register combined with the month, window for 4-digit year, the large circular case with wide bezel, glazed back secured by six screws with International Watch Com. 1868-1993, Il Destriero Scafusia, No. 30/125 engraved in relief, repeating mechanism operated by slide in the band, two chronograph buttons in the band, split-second mechanism operated through button in the crown, together with a platinum IWC buckle, case, dial and movement signed

This watch is accompanied by the certificate, brochure and original IWC fitted wooden presentation box with marquetry inlay depicting the town of Schaffhausen, with outer packaging and cardboard carrying case

The most complicated watch produced by the International Watch Company, Il Destriero Scafusia or the Schaffhausen Warhorse, was developed for the company's 125th anniversary in 1993. This watch is number 30 in a very limited edition of 125 examples only and is the only watch to be produced with a midnight blue dial.
