    Portrayed frontal, full-length, standing on a floor-design of an eagle with spread wings, blessing and bearing the Gospelbook, the latter's cover with miniature drawings of St. Nicholas and the Evangelists on the spandrels, the saint depicted realistically, dressed in full Patriarchal attire, including the sakkos with cruciform decoration, the epigonation and the omophorion, the silver-gilt oklad engraved with elaborate foliate scrolls, similar foliage applied on the border and the cut-out halo, set in its original case covered with leather and lined with velvet inside
