ATTRIBUTED TO PIERRE REYMOND, 1551
The circular lid with associated enamelled gold finial in the form of a stag's head decorated with a Triumph of Diana, the underside of the lid with four portraits in oval cartouches, the interior of the bowl depicting Zeus seated, with his eagle below and flanked by Hebe and Mercury, within a circular border with the twelve signs of the Zodiac, the underside and the spreading circular foot decorated with masks and fruiting swags, the foot also signed with initials 'P.R' and dated '1551', the underside of the foot inscribed in red '899/27'; the lid possibly associated, minor damages and restorations
