    Joseon dynasty (Late 19th century)
    The first modelled in the form of a blossom with four upturned petals centering a shallow sunken central well, decorated in underglaze blue on two lobes with two confronted chrysanthemums and on two lobes with confronted bats, the well painted with a longevity character and applied overall save the flat circular base with a blue-tinged clear glaze of high sheen; the second shallow and circular, delicately painted with a riverscape against a backdrop of distant mountains around the circular well painted with a whorl and applied overall with a blue-tinged clear glaze
