    One of flared funnel shape, engraved around the sides with concentric linear bands, the semi-translucent stone with some areas of opaque ivory alteration; the other a flat oblong, carved on both sides with the angular bodies of two serpents with pointed heads, and on the narrow sides with diamond pattern, with a channel carved from both ends, the pale olive stone now mostly altered to an opaque ivory color

    The carving and decoration of the second bead are stylistically similar to that of a jade ornament from the Arthur M. Sackler Collections sold in these rooms, 18 March 2009, lot 280 (part).
