Two ivory and a stag antler netsuke
19th Century
The first an ivory netsuke carved as a bittern, yoshigoi, sitting on an old straw-hat formed as the bird's nest; the second a stag antler netsuke carved as a grasshopper, inago, sitting on a branch, the eyes inlaid in dark horn, signed with a kakihan; the third an ivory netsuke in the form of a chrysanthemum-head, kiku, and a twig lying on a straw-tray
