Lot Essay

Described by Bharata (dated 2nd century BC to 2nd century AD) in his treatise on the performing arts, Vipralabdha Nayika is one of the ashta nayika or "eight heroines," which represent the eight different types of relationships the romantic heroine (nayika) can have to her hero.
