Lot Essay

Three chapters of the eleventh-century Tale of Genji appear on this screen. From right to left they are Ch. 1 The Paulownia Court (Kiritsubo), Ch. 7 An Autumn Excursion (Momiji no Ga) and Ch. 14 Channel Buoys (Miotsukushi).
