PROBABLY ITALIAN AND FRENCH, 17TH AND 18TH CENTURY
The appliqué panels applied with red silk, outlined in metal cord, forming large scale stylised flowerheads framed by scrolling foliage and pairs of pomegranates, against a 'cloth of gold' ground, trimmed with gilt metal fringe to the bottom; the salmon pink silk panels comprising four panels, including one composed of two joined lengths, brocaded with silver metal threads and blue silks with stylised floral trails; one large, joined length panel densely brocaded in silver metal threads with pomegrantes, flower heads and foliage; together with two further panels
