ADDITIONAL CHARGES AND SHIPPING RATES
In addition to the winning bid amount, the winning bidder will be responsible for a Buyer's Premium amount equal to 20 of the winning bid. US Sales tax, where applicable, will be collected before the property can be released. For international buyers, the terms of sale are Delivered Duty Unpaid (DDU), and duty and sales tax will have to be paid by the client prior to shipment. For fashion items, you may not be eligible for preferential rate of duty and/or tax. If the winning bidder has a valid reseller's certificate for their purchase, they must seek reimbursement from the applicable government entity or other organization.
Shipping charges will be applied to all lots based on the destination of the property, according to the following schedule:
Domestic US shipping, including Alaska and Hawaii: $30.00;
International Shipping by Zone :
An export CITES license issued by the US Fish and Wildlife Service will be required for the export of this lot and will subject this lot to additional international shipping and export charges. Prospective purchasers are advised that several countries may also require CITES import permits or may altogether prohibit the importation of property containing fish and wildlife material (irrespective of percentage) such as ivory, whalebone, rhinoceros horn, tortoiseshell, Brazilian rosewood or coral.
Please note that the inability of the successful purchaser to export and/or to import property containing endangered and/or other protected wildlife materials is NOT a basis for cancellation or rescission of the sale of the lot. Accordingly, clients should familiarize themselves with relevant customs regulations prior to bidding if they intend to import this lot into another country. The successful purchaser of this lot will be put in contact with Christie's Art Transport department for additional information regarding international shipping and export charges.
While Christie's identifies such lots as a convenience to our clients, we do not accept liability for any errors or for failing to mark lots that contain protected or regulated species.
