Lot Essay

Accompanied by a signed letter of authenticity from Derek Dier. Further accompanied by a signed letter of authenticity from Ellen Freund, property master for Mad Men.

The present Hamilton “Sputnik” was worn by Vincent Kartheiser as Pete Campbell on Mad Men. Mad Men property master Ellen Freund selected the watch herself as the sort of watch Campbell may have worn, given that the cost would have been more approachable than other brands at the time. The watch offers tremendous visual interest between the flared lugs, stepped bezel, and unusual dial.

The present Hamilton is a remarkable opportunity to own a piece of television history.
