Lot Essay

Accompanied by a Universal Genève Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch in 1945, further accompanied by a Universal Genève presentation box.

The present watch is one of the most stunning, elegant, and well-preserved examples of a gold 1940s Universal chronograph to ever come to market. It features an extremely rare two-tone, non-luminous dial preserved in excellent condition, as well as a case that appears to be original and unpolished. Based on its condition, would imagine that this watch saw limited wear in its 71 years of life. With interest in Universal Genève chronographs continuing to increase rapidly, this Uni-Compax is a remarkable watch to purchase and wear.
