Susan Johnson

Susan Johnson, Director, has been Head of the Heritage & Taxation Advisory Service since June 2006. Susan qualified as a Solicitor in 1986 and as a Chartered Tax Advisor in 1996. When in practice she was an Associate with the charities practice Stone King, Partner with Edwin Coe in Lincoln's Inn, and after a spell with a City firm, Simmons & Simmons, Susan joined Wilson's in Salisbury in 1998 becoming a partner in 2000. Whilst in practice she specialised in Capital Taxation and Trust related issues.
Susan is a Member of the Law Society, the Society of Trusts & Estate Practitioners, the Chartered Institute of Taxation, and the Association of Taxation Technicians of which she is a former Vice-President.
Susan serves on the Joint Standards Committee for the Association of Taxation Technicians on the Chartered Institute of Tax Advisers, as well as acting as an observer on the Political and Taxation Committee of the Historic Houses Association. She is a regular contributor to technical journals with articles relating to art and taxation issues. Susan has written a heritage chapter for the STEP Administration of Estates and has revised the same chapter in Dymond's Capital Taxes. Susan is co-author of Tolley's Taxation of Private Property.
Anastasia Tennant
Director, Heritage & Taxation Advisory Service
Anastasia Tennant, Director, qualified as a solicitor in 1994. Whilst in practice she specialised in Taxation and Trust matters for private clients with a firm of solicitors in Gray's Inn. She subsequently worked as a Solicitor in the legal department of The National Trust where she gained a wide knowledge of issues relating to heritage property. Anastasia joined Christie's in 2000 and is a Member of the Law Society and of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.
