Bonnie Brennan is a Senior Vice President and Senior Director, Head of Trusts, Estates and Wealth Management Services in the Chairman’s Office of Christie’s Americas.
Ms. Brennan joined Christie’s in 2012 with 15 years of experience in the auction business. She brings a history of successes in client development and strong relationships across the Trusts & Estates community. Since joining the Christie’s team, she has played a key role in securing notable consignments for Christie’s major sales of Impressionist and Modern Art, Post-War and Contemporary Art and American Paintings.
Prior to her current role, Ms. Brennan worked as a Senior Vice President, Business Development Officer for another major international auction house, where she specialized in the area of Trusts and Estates. She gained a solid reputation as a team player and had a long history of success in assisting professional fiduciaries and private clients with the disposition of personal property through both public auction and private sales. Ms. Brennan was also responsible for developing effective and compelling sale and marketing strategies for consignments at the highest levels.
Ms. Brennan is a graduate of Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, where she was a double-major in Art History and Communications. Ms. Brennan is a member of Board of Trustees for Cristo Rey New York High School and she serves as an active member on the Professional Advisors Council for Calvary Hospital, The Professional Advisory Council for the American Friends of the Israel Museum and the Planned Giving Advisory Council for the New York Historical Society.
Tash Perrin was appointed Senior Vice President and Senior Director of Trusts, Estates & Wealth Management Services at Christie’s International in April 2013. Ms. Perrin assists estate, institutional and private clients through major sales globally. Prior to her current role, Ms. Perrin served as Head of the Estates, Appraisals & Valuations department and was responsible for overseeing the management of all the valuations produced by Christie’s Americas and managing the team in New York. Ms Perrin served as Senior Vice President, Business Director of the department and has represented Christie's at trusts and estates/family office conferences across the United States since 2007.
In May 2007, Ms. Perrin re-joined Christie’s New York from London, when she was Head of Client Advisory services. In this role Ms. Perrin led the department through major sales in London and also became instrumental in the organization of the first sales of Christie’s in Dubai. Prior to moving to London, Ms. Perrin was active in several departments at Christie’s New York including Impressionist, 19th and 20th Century & Contemporary Art, Wine and the Old Masters Paintings department where she started her career in 1996.
Ms. Perrin qualified as an auctioneer in 1999 and has regularly taken sales for Christie’s New York and London. Ms. Perrin is also a highly sought after charity auctioneer, having conducted over sixty high profile charity auctions across the world and has raised over a million dollars for a range of causes.
Ms. Perrin holds a BA Hon degree in Art History from Queen's University, Kingston, Ontario, and is a graduate of Christie's Education Modern & Contemporary Art Course in New York.
Rita Boyle joined Christie's in January of 2008. Ms. Boyle works from the Beverly Hills office and oversees business development with professional advisors in the Southern California area. Ms. Boyle assists these advisors in the legal, banking and financial communities through the disposition of art collections at auction as well as supervising the process of obtaining estate tax, gift tax, or insurance appraisals from Christie's to satisfy the fiduciary needs of trusts and estates.
Ms. Boyle has been instrumental in securing consignment of numerous important estates in Southern California most notably The Estate of Max Palevsky bringing $58 million at auction.
Prior to joining Christie's, Ms. Boyle worked in the auction field for 20 years in the role of an Asian Art specialist and in the field of Trusts and Estates. Ms. Boyle earned a BA degree in East Asian Studies form Duke University and studied Chinese History at the University of Nanjing in the People's Republic of China.
As Senior Vice President and the Managing Director of Christie’s Midwest Region, Lisa Cavanaugh is an integral part of the international auction firm’s regional network of offices, charged with cultivating clients throughout North and South America. These clients buy and sell artwork and other valuable objects not only through Christie’s New York salerooms but also in our other 10 salerooms worldwide. Ms. Cavanaugh is based in Chicago, but travels throughout the Midwest and Central U.S. to provide a full range of services to Christie’s clients, including private clients, legal and financial advisors, art advisors and museums.
Ms. Cavanaugh assists potential buyers, consignors, advisors, and institutions regarding the wide range of customized art appraisals Christie’s prepares, including evaluations for charitable donation purposes, gift or estate tax, indemnification, insurance and loan collateral. Lisa also works closely with the owners of everything from single objects to large collections on the dispersal of their property at auction. Important additional roles include buyer development and the sourcing of property appropriate for private sales. She provides advice to clients on bidding at Christie’s, both domestically and internationally, by telephone, mail and online; and coordinates Christie’s specialists from 80 departments who travel regularly throughout the region. She has lectured extensively on the art market to bankers, law firms and their clients, and to museum groups. She also frequently participates in panel discussions about the art market, often focusing on art as an asset class.
Prior to assuming her current role in 2009, Lisa managed Christie’s Houston office, with responsibility for business development in Texas and the South/Southwest market from 1995-2009. She joined Christie’s in the Chicago office in 1987, after working in the field of mergers and acquisitions for Continental Illinois Bank. She has an MBA from Northwestern Kellogg School of Management, and an MFA from Christie’s Education in London. Her BA from Smith College is in English and Art History. She serves on the board of The Chicago Artists Coalition, the Asian Art Council of the Art Institute of Chicago, and is a member of the Museum’s Business Council.
Mr. Zick joined Christie’s in 2004, after six years with the San Francisco-based auctioneer Bonhams & Butterfields. Steven and his colleagues in the Chicago regional office cover a thirteen-state area and work with estate fiduciaries, private collectors, museums and dealers coordinating appraisals and securing property for auctions held in New York, London, Paris and a host of other international sales sites. Steven is also a charity auctioneer and lectures on art and appraisal-related topics nationwide.
Prior to joining the auction world, Steven was a lawyer with 14 years’ experience, most recently with the Attorney General of Illinois. Specializing in federal habeas corpus and criminal appeals, he practiced in every court, from the circuit courts of Illinois to the Supreme Court of the United States.
Board memberships have included the Museum Council of the Museum of Contemporary Photography, the Costume Council of the Chicago History Museum and the Junior Board of Heartland Alliance. He also served on the Gala and Acquisitions Committees of the Society for Contemporary Art at the Art Institute of Chicago and the Board of Governors of the English Speaking Union. He is currently a board member of the Irish Georgian Society and is a member of the Chicago Estate Planning Council.
