With gilt-finished jewelled lever movement, bimetallic compensation balance, swan neck regulator, the white enamel dial with inner ring for the Arabic hours, gilt spade hands, sunk 15 minutes register, outer varicoloured telemetre scales, the glazed reverse revealing the movement, outer white enamel ring with blue and red tachymetre scale and central hand, chronograph button in the gilt crown, dial signed by maker and retailer

Lot Essay

The present watch is a fine example of a so-called "chronotachymètre", patented by Omega in 1906 and often sold to Kirby Beard, their most important retailer from the beginning of the 20th century until World War II.
