Lot Essay

This work on hadith is an expanded version of Kitab al-masabih, an earlier work on hadith by Al-Baghawi (d. 1122 AD) whose name is mentioned in the preface. The author also mentions in his preface the most important authors on hadith such as al-Bukhari, Muslim, al-Shafi'i, Ibn Hanbal, etc.
