Launched as the Salem in 1885, the subsequently named Marjorie was built by J. Fullerton at Paisley. Rigged as a screw schooner, she was registered at 82 tons gross (35 net and 101 Thames) and measured 98½ feet in length with a 15 foot beam. Changing her name to Marjorie when sold in 1891, she was then owned by Mr. John Matheson of Glasgow who kept her until about 1900 when she was resold and once again renamed, this time to Majesta. Subsequently bought by a Greek who renamed her Thetis, she disappears from record about 1910.
