Organised during FIAC, our two sales offer a selection of modern art which spans the avant-garde movements of the 20th century. Among the 108 lots are important paintings by Joan Miró, Marc Chagall and Le Corbusier. Pablo Picasso is represented by a group of exceptional works, led by Buste d'homme, an oil on canvas dating to 1964. Further works by the most iconic artist of the period include his large scale ink on paper depicting his muse asleep, and a superb bronze Femme assise previously owned by Michel Leiris, poet and close friend of Picasso. Produced in only an edition of two, and the other version having remained in the collection of the artist's family, this sale is likely to be a unique opportunity for collectors to acquire this rare bronze.
