Comment: Nicolette Tomkinson, Director and Sophie Churcher, Specialist commented:

“We are delighted with the success of Christie’s 15th annual Ski Sale, which was 96% sold by value. Still the only dedicated auction of its type in the world, the sale continues to draw so many buyers from across the globe to the accessible category of vintage poster collecting. Dominated by individual Private buyers decorating their homes and chalets, many bids were aptly received by mobiles phones from the ski slopes; 27% of the sale was also bought or directly underbid online. The Private Collection of Swiss Posters received a lot of pre-sale interest and was 99% sold.”
