Royal British Society of Sculptors
The oldest and largest organisation dedicated to sculpture in the UK, the Royal British Society of Sculptors was established in 1905 as a not-for-profit company. With a membership of 500 + professional sculptors, and a registered charity, the independent artist led organization promotes high professional and creative standards among sculptors/artists and is committed to making the full range of contemporary practice accessible to all. Committed to the pursuit of excellence in the art form, the Society aims to inspire, inform and engage people with sculpture/three dimensional art. Sculptors are supported by a bursary scheme for newly emergent sculptors, and through professional development seminars, a mentoring scheme and a growing number of awards and residencies. www.rbs.org.uk

– Christie’s and the Royal British Society of Sculptors are delighted to announce a special summer exhibition ‘I ♥ 3D’, which will be held at Christie’s South Kensington from 1 August through to 20 August 2012. Open to the public and free to attend, this unique exhibition on Old Brompton Road will showcase the diversity of contemporary sculptural practice with works by some of the Society’s most exciting early career artists.
Terry New, previously of the Royal Academy and recently elected President of the Royal British Society of Sculptors commented:
"We are excited to be working with Christie's on such a fitting celebration of sculpture, and hope that many of the visitors to South Kensington's popular museum district will appreciate this special exhibition."
Nic McElhatton, Chairman, Christie’s South Kensington added,
