Christie’s in the Nordic region
Christie’s have been present in the Nordic region since 1972, when the Stockholm office was first opened, followed by Copenhagen in 1980 and Oslo and Finland in 1986. Our representatives are the contact point for clients in Denmark, Finland, Sweden and Norway, assisting in buying and selling at Christie’s: handling valuations and consignments, liaising with museums and institutions and organising preview exhibitions for Christie’s auctions around the globe. Among our areas of specific expertise, we boast a former specialist in Old Master Paintings based in Sweden and a former specialist in Impressionist and Modern Art based in Norway, while in Finland we have a long history sourcing Russian art and Fabergé, as well as Nordic art and design.
