London, 4 – 14 December
Classic Week at Christie’s London celebrates art from antiquity to the 20th century, staged across 13 auctions this December.
Headlining the sale series is Anthony van Dyck’s Portrait of Princess Mary, Daughter of King Charles I of England, one of the most important European royal portraits to come to auction for a generation, and a pair of portraits by Frans Hals – a highlight of Eric Albada Jelgersma’s remarkable collection of 17th century Dutch and Flemish Old Master paintings. Elsewhere, delve into an array of extraordinary art and objects, from gilded pineapple cups and Ancient Egyptian artefacts to antique furniture, British and European paintings and much more.
Explore the works in person in our King Street galleries from 30 November – 13 December.
