This July, Christie’s is thrilled to present The World Is A Sphere: Art from the Faurschou Foundation, a curated online auction of works from the collection of the Faurschou Foundation. The selection of works is sold to benefit the Foundation’s innovative exhibition programme, which over the past decade has championed rich cross-cultural exchange between East and West. The auction will offer over 50 carefully selected works from the Foundation’s collection. Showcasing iconic Asian Contemporary works by Ai Weiwei, Liu Xiaodong and Yu Hong, the auction will also include an outstanding selection of European and American works by Anselm Kiefer, Georg Baselitz, Per Kirkeby, Robert Rauschenberg and Simone Leigh.
