Christie’s New York Luxury Sales realised a combined total of $33,615,694, with overall sell-through rates of 85% and above across four sales.
The Magnificent Jewels & The Collection of Peggy and David Rockefeller sale opened the series on 12 June, realising $20,027,626. The top lot of the sale, and the series, was a diamond ring of 20.47 carats, which achieved $2,652,500. The jewellery from The Collection of Peggy and David Rockefeller section realised $3,119,500, bringing the total for the historic estate to $835,111,344. An Evening of Exceptional Watches followed on 14 June, led by a Rolex stainless steel automatic wristwatch with a gilt ‘explorer dial,’ which realised $1,068,500.
The lots of the Finest Wines and Spirits Featuring Superb Burgundy, a Collection of Château Lafleur and Other Guinaudeau sale proved to be in high demand, with multiple world records set for Macallan and Domaine de la Romanée-Conti. Leading the sale was a case of 12 bottles of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, Montrachet 1990, which realised $104,125. The Handbags & Accessories online auction closed out the series with a total of $1,988,750, with highlights from Hermès and Chanel.
