Christie’s is excited to present NASHVILLE: An Auction to benefit ACM Lifting Lives COVID-19 Response Fund — an online-only charity auction to support the frontline workers of the country music industry from the tour bus drivers, techs and venue workers to aspiring musicians. Dolly Parton’s Swarovski crystal-studded four-string dulcimer used to play “Jolene” during her 50th Anniversary performance at the Grand Ole Opry in 2019 leads the sale: the first musical instrument ever to appear at a global public auction from Dolly Parton. Highlights will include a range of iconic items generously donated by some of country music’s biggest names.
“Seeing my country music community suffer due to the pandemic has broken my heart. It was important to donate the dulcimer that was designed for my 50th Opry Anniversary so we can raise awareness and much needed funds to keep these folks on their feet before we can open the doors to our stages once again.”
