Hermes HAC 50

The Hermès HAC 50 is a commanding interpretation of the historic Haut à Courroies — the maison’s first bag. Originally designed to carry equestrian equipment, the HAC is defined by its elongated proportions, trapezoidal silhouette and practical top handles. At 50cm, this travel bag offers a striking vertical profile that balances functionality with understated elegance. Its design served as the direct foundation for the Birkin itself, when Jean-Louis Dumas adapted the HAC's classic features to create Jane Birkin's namesake bag.
