20th Century Evening Sale

London
20th Century Evening Sale

Sale Overview

The 20th Century Evening Sale will offer an outstanding selection of masterworks – many unseen for generations – led by an exceptional group from a private French collection including masterpieces by Jean Dubuffet, Fernand Léger and Alexander Calder. The sale will feature many of the leading artists and movements of the 20th Century – from Albers to Auerbach, Kiefer to Kirchner, Riley to Richter – complemented by some of the most talked-about and sought-after artists of today.

The 20th Century Art Evening Sale will be immediately followed by the Art of the Surreal Evening Sale, highlighted by René Magritte’s masterpiece Le mois des vendanges (1959).

The Spring 20th Century sales season at Christie’s in 2020 saw numerous artist records broken, with museum quality masterpieces by George Grosz, Tamara de Lempicka, Günther Förg and Andy Warhol all far exceeding estimates.

If you would like a work from your collection to be part of another record-breaking season at Christie’s, then please do not hesitate to contact us. All of our live auctions are enabled for remote bidding from desktop or mobile app via the Christie’s LIVE™ real-time bidding platform.
