‘We had an etching press behind our kitchen and I suggested that Paula might like to have a go’ — memories of making prints with Paula Rego
Off the Wall: Basquiat to Banksy is a private selling exhibition showcasing the contemporary explosion of street art, charting a course through post-punk New York, millennial Britain and beyond. From the illicit and illegitimate to the painterly and political, it celebrates the negotiation between street and studio over nearly half a century.
The exhibition is open for browsing online until 7 May and is on view at our King Street galleries until 1 May, including weekends from 12 to 5pm. Our London galleries are now open for public viewing, following government guidelines. Private clients and the wider public are able to visit with other members of their household, and trade clients with their working group. Please do not hesitate to contact us for more information on how to buy and sell privately at Christie’s.
