The exceptional photographs in this collection have been lovingly assembled over the course of nearly half a century by Wolf, a famed and internationally celebrated figure in the world of interior design. Vicente Wolf has been sought out for his impressive eye, attention to detail, and range as a creative visionary. While building a successful business and name for himself in the design world, he simultaneously refined his eye as a prolific and passionate collector of photographic prints, originating with advice given to him by Richard Avedon.
Within this impressive collection are fresh-to-market works hailing from avant- garde movements across Europe in the early decades of the 20th century, including notably Italian Futurism, Surrealism, and Constructivism. Included in the online auction are works by some of the most esteemed names in 20th century European and American photography including Jacques-Henri Lartigue, Martin Munkacsi, Alexander Rodchenko, Edward Weston and Francesca Woodman.
