Next at Christie’s | Good Eye Projects

  • Event date 12 - 20 JANUARY 2023
  • Event location London

This January, we reopen our doors to the next generation of artists for the second iteration of Next at Christie’s, on view from 12 to 20 January in our St. James’s galleries in London.

Presented in partnership with Good Eye Projects, a new London-based artist residency programme supporting emerging and early-career artists, this edition’s non-selling exhibition brings together works by six artists from the first cohort of residents to the studios in September 2022. With free entry and open to the public, Christie’s invites you to discover exciting works by Kate Burling, Eva Dixon, Vilte Fuller, Henry Gibbs, Choon Mi Kim and Abi Ola, representing London’s emerging, diverse and vibrant art ecosystem.

To celebrate the occasion, Christie’s Education will host a panel discussion with four art world players on the topic ‘From Art School to Art World’. Glen Harwick-Bruce will lead the conversation between one of the artist’s from Good Eye Projects, a gallerist, a curator/art historian and an auction house specialist in discussing key steps and strategies of progressing your artistic career after graduating art school.

About Good Eye Projects

Good Eye Projects

Founded in 2022 by artist Anna Woodward (Artist), Scott Franklin (Founder, Property Guardian Protection) and Sam Senchal (Collector & Patron), Good Eye Projects is a new artist residency programme supporting emerging and early-career artists.

Good Eye Projects provides six artists with free studio space in Hammersmith, West London, for a period of twelve weeks, allowing them the freedom to advance their practice as part of a supportive peer group. Alongside, Good Eye Projects arranges regular studio visits and tutorials with industry professionals, as well as off-site activities hosted by members of the artist selection panel; curator and writer Hector Campell, gallerist Freddie Powell and Christie’s specialist Marie-Claire Thijsen. These added benefits allow the artists access to advice and mentorship from those at the centre of the London art scene's vibrant creative ecosystem.
