Lot Essay

The dumb-waiter with reed-entwined balusters and elegant serpentined 'claw' with involuted-scroll feet, reflects the late 18th Century style illustrated in Thomas Sheraton's Cabinet-Maker's and Upholsterer's Drawing-Book, 1791-4.
