Lot Essay

Rudolf Tegner (d.1950) was born and studied sculpture in Copenhagen, before moving to Paris where he won a bronze medal at the Universal Exhibition of 1900. The works of Carpeaux, Milles and Rodin were the major influences on his oeuvre.
