With two-piece skull with high roped comb, at the rear a riveted plume-holder formed as a shaped shield embossed with a lion-mask, prominent prow-shaped visor and upper-bevor, the former with a single vision-slit and lifting peg on the right, the latter pierced with circles of ventilation holes, both pivoted at the same points as the shaped lower bevor (pivots replaced, pivot-hook catch missing), and two gorget-plates front and rear, the main edges turned and roped throughout, the comb, plume-holder and narrow borders to the main plates russet but originally decorated with gilding, some traces of which remain
