With signed twist octagonal sighted barrel, patent breech with platinum lines and pierced platinum plug, engraved tang incorporating a back-sight, signed scroll engraved detented back-action lock (hammer repaired, tail of lock-plate incomplete), figured walnut half-stock with three deeply cut notches opposite the lock, chequered butt, engraved iron mounts including spur trigger-guard, silver escutcheon and fore-end cap, set trigger, and later ramrod
