A CIRCULAR SCOTTISH TARGE

Of wood covered with leather tooled with a design of punched interlace, set with a central brass boss engraved with similar designs, and a series of smaller bosses in two sizes, the surfaces between and the borders with domed brass-headed nails, the interior lined in rough deerskin and with two iron staples for arm straps (some worming and slight damage to leather throughout)
18¾in. (47.6cm.) diam.
