A calligraphic leaf
one side signed by Sultan Muhammad Nur, the other by Shah Mahmud Nishapiri

Comprising two sides, one with a ghazal by Amir Khusraw Dihlavi, Persian manuscript on buff paper, 12ll. of elegant blue nasta'liq written diagonally and horizontally, six polychrome illuminated triangular panels, signed bottom left 'Sultan Muhammad bin Nur Allah' (crease marks), with a border of rectangular inscription panels on gold sprinkled blue paper, mounted on gold-sprinkled buff paper, folio 9¼ x 6in. (23.5 x 15cm.), the other with 3 couplets of black ta'liq and nasta'liq, divided by blue rules, on buff paper, signed below left 'Shah Mahmud' mounted on gold-sprinkled blue paper, folio 8¾ x 5½in. (22.5 x 14cm.)
