Lot Essay

This is an early Mu'in picture; the inscription states that it was drawn in the evening of a day in Jumada II, and is taken from the work of Reza Abbasi.

Mu'in greatly admired his master and copied many of his works. He often embellished his drawings with lengthy inscriptions in his idiosyncratic handwriting.
