Of Safavid vase design, the ivory field with counterposed design of angular scrolling vine alternately issuing a vase-motif with floral sprays and a single flowerhead, a delicate scrolling vine issuing palmettes, flowerheads and serrated leaves, in a shaded red border of angular interlocking floral arcaded vine issuing palmettes and smaller plants between indigo flowerhead vine, light blue floral cartouche and ribbon stripes, outer ivory stripe, embroidered stripe at each end, two large areas of staining, dry and splitting
