A pair of silver-plated wall sconces
unmarked, 19th century
The cartouche-shaped back plates chased with scrolls and ribbon-tied husk and floral garlands beneath a basket of flowers supported by two winged putti, all on a matted ground, the detachable leaf-capped scroll branches each terminating in beaded shaped-circular drip-pan with acanthus foliage border and with cylindrical foliate socket, the centres with oval laurel wreath cartouche applied with monogram and palm fronds beneath Earl's coronet
