Including several river views, images of temples and townscapes.

Before his tragic death in 1875 at the age of 31, Uchida had become the most famous Japanese photographer of all. In 1872 he had been given the honoour of being the first to ever photograph a Japanese Emperor. He is known to have taken photographs in the Osaka and Kyoto regions.
