Woven in wools and silks, depicting the Triumph of Caesar, with Caesar on a rearing horse behind two men blowing scrolled horns terminating in lion-heads and a standard-bearer, within a triumphal procession with soldiers carrying their loot and with two lions, each side with floral and foliate garland-hung caryatids, the top and base with a border of floral swags centred by a strapwork cartouche, within a yellow and white outer slip, areas of re-weaving and patching, the lower border cut and re-attached, reduced in height, the lower outer slip later
