Woven in wools and silks, depicting a battle scene of Roman soldiers, partly on horseback, to the right attacking fleeing people to the left, with a park landscape in the distance and with a mountainous landscape on the horizon, the borders with various scolling floral cartouches, all sides centred by figural scenes and the corners with various maidens, within a later brown outer slip, the central field reduced in height and width and with areas of re-weaving and patching
