After Meissen originals by J.J. Kändler, modelled as a Turk and his lady companion each wearing exotic Oriental dress of turbans, robes and pointed slippers, enriched in pale colours, holding scallop-shells painted with scattered flowers and on flower-encrusted bases (both with chips to flowers and edges of scallop-shells, his shell with re-glued section, she with one restored and rebroken thumb, minor chipping to edges of robes), he with red anchor mark to tree-trunk
