A Dutch armorial goblet
Circa 1780, the foot a later English cut replacement
The bell bowl engraved with a crowned lion rampant within a rococo scroll cartouche above the motto VELTERS CORNEWALL on a banner, the reverse with a lion rampant within a palisade holding a pole surmounted by the cap of liberty within a similar cartouche, the lower section of the bowl cut with facets, diamonds and pillared flutes, on a faceted knopped and inverted baluster stem (metal repair joining stem to replacement foot, chips to footrim)
