A Meissen model of a ewe
Circa 1750, the mounts perhaps contemporary
Modelled by P. Reinicke, standing to the left with head turned to look back, on a tree-stump moulded oval pad base applied with flowers and foliage, her fleece painted with brown and grey patches, on an ormolu base moulded and chased with rococo scrolls (both ears and one foreleg restored, chips to flowers and foliage)
The model 3½in. (9cm.) wide, the base 6¾in. (17cm.) wide
