A Meissen garniture of three vases
Circa 1755
Of baluster form, moulded with foliage and scrolls, applied with flowering branches and painted with flower-sprays, the shoulders with scroll and foliage-moulded handles and each body with two scroll supports surmounted with a figure of a gallant or companion, on domed and spreading feet moulded with further scrolls and foliage and painted with flower-sprigs, the high domed covers pierced, moulded and painted with flowers and with flower finials (the central vase with restoration to one support, neck and right hand of female figure, hat, left hand and jacket of male figure, each side vase with restoration to one support, minor restoration and chips to extremities of all vases), blue crossed swords marks
