The frosted gilt fusee movement with pierced Egyptian pillars, chased and engraved cock and foot to edge of the top-plate, pierced other furniture, verge escapement and engraved alarm going barrel, the alarm sounding on a bell, the silver champlevé dial with Roman numerals, half hour marks, inner quarter hour ring, central alarm disc with fixed pointer, finely chased engraved and pierced inner case (damaged), with split bezel, later silver outer case, movement signed
